Lara is a three year old female German Shepherd Cross looking for her forever home.
Lara was found in a field in Cyprus in November 2019, she refused to leave the field or come near any of the helpers trying to rescue her. A shelter was provided by the volunteers to protect her from the winter weather & they kept returning to the field until Lara trusted them enough to approach. Eventually Lara was moved to kennels and received vet treatment.
Lara has tested positive for Leishmaniasis which will require lifelong vet visits however it is a condition that can be managed. Any family interested in adopting Lara will need to gain an understanding of the condition – this is something we can assist with.
Now Lara is in a very good condition, active and playful. She is very good with humans and other dogs. She has not been cat tested. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and has a full pet passport. She is large dog (currently weighing in at 32kgs) and we will ideally require a family who have GSD experience or are experienced dog owners of large breed dogs.
Lara’s adoption fee will be £385 & any potential family must have a home check completed & meet with Lara prior to adoption in her foster home (potentially in the Manchester area but to be confirmed).
